Course Objectives: On completion of this unit, learner will have the knowledge and application skills in handling security incidents and services and be able to apply them to the workplace. This includes: - Containing incidents of damage to facilities and equipment - Handling fire-related incidents - Handling suspicious behavior and crime-related incidents - Handling medical or first-aid related incidents - Handling bomb or IED (Improvised Explosive Device) threat incidents - Searching, apprehending and arresting suspect - Giving evidence in court.
Course Content:
1. Inform relevant authorities about incidents
2. Handle fire-related incidents
3. Respond to drills in accordance with procedures
4. Handle crowd during incidents
5. Handle incident of specific bomb threats
6. Handle incidents of alleged offence
7. Deal with information received from complainant on criminal issues
Assumed Skills & Knowledge: Have at least a primary educational qualification, Able to listen and speak in English at ESS level 4, Able to read and write in English at ESS level 4
Medium of Instruction: English. Only participants with 75% attendance will be eligible to sit for the examination.
Dress code: Shirt (long or short sleeve), Pant (No jeans), Black shoe.
Course Duration: 26 hours. Day 1 to Day 3 – 9 AM to 6 PM; Day 4 – 9 AM to 11 AM
Entry requirement: Have attained competency in Provide Guard and Patrol Services.
