About The Course
Course Objectives:
The Occupational First Aid Course is designed to equip safety personnel with the knowledge in identifying accidents with casualties and to perform first aid skills at the workplace.
Course Contents:
Principles and practices of first aider, First aid requirements in Factories and other workplaces, Wounds, bleeding and shock, Fractures and soft tissue injuries, Handling and transportation of injured, CPR and use of AED, Breathing difficulties, Unconscious patient, Occupational eye injuries, Burn injuries, Industrial toxicology, Safety and accident prevention, Management of medical emergencies.
Target Audience: Any individuals who wish to renew their existing OFAC certification.
Assumed Skills and Knowledge: ESS WPLN LEVEL 5. Medium of Instruction: English
Entry requirements: Participants must have attended and passed the Industrial First Aid Course (IFAC) or Occupational First Aid Course (OFAC) to be eligible to attend the refresher course. Existing certification must still be valid to register for the refresher course.
Only participants with 100% attendance will be eligible to sit for the examination.
Course Duration: 2 Days (8.30 AM to 6.30 PM/6 PM) 17.5 Hours (including 2 hours 40 mins of assessment)
From 1st January 2022, SRFAC will also require all learners/trainees to be fully vaccinated or certified to be medically ineligible for COVID-19 vaccines or have recovered from COVID-19 within the past 180 days before they can come onsite for training. Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated individuals will not be allowed for onsite training.
