Course objectives: On successful completion of this unit, the participant will have the knowledge and skills of security personnel to conduct security screening of person and bags.
Course Summary:

Prepare person for security screening
Use of screening equipment
Handle of prohibited and hazardous items
Learners are expected to be 18 years old and above.
Assumed skills and Knowledge:
Learners, who signed up for this unit, are assumed to have the following skills and knowledge:
Able to read, listen and speak in English at ESS Level 3;
Able to read a computer monitor and see at a distance;
Possess basic skills in operating a computer;
Truthful and Honest;
Sense of duty and responsibility on the Job;
Disciplined and able to follow instructions when given.
Dress code: Shirt (long or short sleeve), Pant (No jeans), Black shoe.
Physical and Medical requirements: Participants should not have colour-blindness and hearing impairment and must be physically fit to work as a Security Officer. A Medical certificate, issued by a Registered Medical Practitioner, on the above physical and medical requirements, must be submitted along with the course registration form.
Medium of Instruction: English. Only participants with 100% attendance will be eligible to sit for the examination.
Course Duration: 14 Hours. Day 1: 9 AM to 6 PM; Day 2: 9 AM to 4 PM
Assessment will be conducted by POLWEL. Assessment format: Role play – 100 mins, Oral Questioning – 20 mins.
