About The Course
Course Objectives:
The Occupational First Aid Course is designed to equip safety personnel with the knowledge in identifying accidents with casualties and to perform first aid skills at the workplace.
Course Contents:
Principles and practices of first aider, First aid requirements in Factories and other workplaces, Wounds, bleeding and shock, Fractures and soft tissue injuries, Handling and transportation of injured, CPR and use of AED, Breathing difficulties, Unconscious patient, Occupational eye injuries, Burn injuries, Industrial toxicology, Safety and accident prevention, Management of medical emergencies.
Target Audience:
Any individuals with interest in first aid or has been assigned a WSH-related role in the company. Must be physically fit and able to render help to another individual during an emergency.
Assumed Skills and Knowledge: ESS WPLN LEVEL 5
Medium of Instruction: English
Only participants with 100% attendance will be eligible to sit for the examination.
Course Duration:
3 Days / 3 Sundays (8.30 AM to 5.30 PM)
23.5 Hours (including 2 hours 40 mins of assessment)
From 1st January 2022, SRFAC will also require all learners/trainees to be fully vaccinated or certified to be medically ineligible for COVID-19 vaccines or have recovered from COVID-19 within the past 180 days before they can come onsite for training. Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated individuals will not be allowed for onsite training.
10 SDU Points applicable (Validity Period for SDU points - 2 Jan 2026 to 30 June 2026). WSHO can claim SDU points once only, for a course. The SDU points could not be claimed for a repeat or refresher course.
