The aim of the course is to provide course participants with the requisite WAH knowledge to supervise and manage work at height activities so that they are carried out properly and safely.
At the end of the course, the participants shall be able to:
Identify the various Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) legislations/Codes of practice/Approved codes of practice/Singapore standards applicable to WAH.
Conduct risk assessment on Safety & Health hazards and Implement preventive measures related to WAH.
Identify use and care for the various fall arrest systems and equipment.
Develop and implement a Fall Prevention Plan.
Course subjects:
1. Identify the WSH legislations and references related to WAH.
2. Conduct Risk Assessment on Safety & Health Hazards and implement prevent measures related to WAH.
3. Identify use and care for Fall Prevention Systems and Equipment.
4. Develop and Implement Fall Prevention Plan.
Theory Exam format: 10 short questions (30 marks) & 2 scenario based questions (70 marks)
Theory Exam duration : 2 Hours
Passing criteria : Written test - 65% & above; Practical Performance - 100%
This course is a non-MOM accredited course.
However, the trainees, who successfully completes this course, fulfills the MOM training requirements to be a WAH Supervisor, to carry out Supervision over WAH activities, as per WORKPLACE SAFETY AND HEALTH (WORK AT HEIGHTS) (AMENDMENT)
